El paisaje, la luz, el hechizo de la naturaleza

Existe una realidad sutil que sólo captan los artistas en su afán de retratar su mundo. Uno de luces y sombras, en donde el trazo y la perspectiva terminan convirtiéndose en poesía. Es éste el caso del universo paisajístico del artista cubano Rodolfo Valdés Montes de Oca.

Este pintor, que «después de pintar todo el día sigue pintando», es un apasionado de lo que hace, de la interrelación insomne entre su persona interior y la Naturaleza. De este modo explica que «cuando observamos un paisaje percibimos diferentes formas, las cuales, a través de las texturas, los colores y las dimensiones de sus elementos con respecto a otros conforman el espacio natural, el cual, en ocasiones, es inadvertido por muchos».

Admirador de Domingo Ramos y Tomás Sánchez, él también nos convida al sempiterno redescubrimiento del hábitat natural en sus obras; tanto aquél que se ofrece virgen y pletórico, en su expresión vegetal, como ese otro de los espacios urbanos, cuando, abandonados a su suerte por la sociedad y el hombre, se halle invadido por la vegetación, en su indetenible eclosión de lujuriosos verdes.

Es así como cada una de ellas, de grandes dimensiones muchas, obsesivas hasta al detalle todas, buscando luces diáfanas encuentran colores afortunados, de suerte tal que muchas veces consiguen sorprendernos con esa peculiar mirada de auténtico amante de la Naturaleza.

Landscape and Light, Bewitchment of Nature

There is a slender reality only catched by artists -in their eagerness to portrait the world. A world of lights and shadows, in which perspective and drawing become into poetry. Is this the case of the landscape universe of Cuban artist Rodolfo Valdés Montes de Oca.

This painter, which «after painting all day keep on painting», is a lover of which he do, of a sleepless intercourse between his inner person and the Nature. In this way he explain that «when we observe a landscape we get different shapes, to which, through textures, colors and element’s dimensions in compare with others make the natural spaces, and this all, ocasionally, is miscarrying for many people».

He is admirer of Domingo Ramos and Tomás Sánchez, and he the same, invited us to everlasting rediscovering of natural habitat; even that one which offers itself virginal and plenty, into its vegetable expression, as this other of urban spaces, when, let alone to its fate by society and men, we find occupied for jungle, in its unstopped eclosion of luxurius greens.

Is like that as each one of them, with big format many of them -but obsessive till the detail all of them, searching clearness of light, find lucky colours, and so, that many times they reach to touch us, surprising us with this peculiar sight of a genuine Nature lover.

And so, stay you all with the works of Cuban painter Rodolfo Valdés Montes de Oca, a really invitation to encounter to this other sight that go far beyond of ordinary way to look.
